Hosting Discontinued

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we will no longer be hosting websites as of the 1^st of the year 2012. Through shrinking margins, lagging new sales, and customers lost through business closures we are no longer able to maintain the current level of hosting at affordable rates. The hosting business model has been deflated through competition from overseas markets and increased competition from larger providers such as Amazon to the point that the hosting can no longer be sustained without continuing at a loss.

We have proudly hosted websites since 2006 on our dedicated server platforms and are sad to announce the closure of one of our longest running divisions. Over the past many years we have appreciated being able to serve our hosting customers with a variety of technologies. We hope to further serve your company through the transition phase to make the process as smooth as possible.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide a database backup of any shared DotNetNuke, WordPress, or Joomla! portals, however we can provide your company access to the files that have been uploaded to the server if you contact us at support@frankandlola.com with a request. Our recommendation is to set up your portals with a new provider that provides a temporary domain name to be able to get your site transferred over and ready for the DNS change. We will not be able to assist in transfer of users or content from the current portal to a new one as we already have our hands full in the migration of our own internal systems to new providers. We will provide what assistance we can in the process but it will be somewhat limited.

The current hosting server will be available until December 29th, 2011 for your company to be able to transfer your sites to a new provider.  At that time any DNS pointers to the current server at 74.53.29.98 will no longer work. We recommend that the portal or site be transferred at least 3 days before the end date so that the site can stay active without interruption. Server fees for the month of December will be the last fees accepted for hosting. No contracts will be sent out for the coming year.
